Thoughts of retirement from my position of CAO/Clerk Treasurer and municipal government seem a little unreal. I have always been one to be involved in my community and various organizations. I served as first woman Councillor for my hometown, volunteered in various Executive Committees for such groups as Minor Hockey, Figure Skating , Curling Club and the Royal Canadian Legion and even with work serve on several Executive Committees at both District and Provincial levels. So yes… thoughts of starting to step back and take a different fork in the road is a little unreal.
So what to do when retirement comes? I have to come up with a plan as I am not one to be doing nothing. In going through my sewing room, I come across a lot of impulsive buys and projects sitting there still to be completed. Fabric is my weakness… there are so many wonderful choices now!!
So maybe now I start to complete and share some of these projects. Perhaps others will love the same things that I do.
